Why do store-bought tomatoes taste worse than fast food tomatoes?

It’s all in the title. When I go out and buy a tomato from the store, slice it and put it on my hamburger, it does not even come close to tasting as fresh and good as when I buy a hamburger at Mcdonalds or some other fast food place.
