Fast Food
♪♪Knowledge is Power♪♪ asked:

I had a piece of fried chicken with my regular dinner (I tore it in half) and I didn’t know it was KFC. I don’t eat fast food because it is fattening. Am I going to get fat? Because it is fried in lard amongst other things. Plus, there are chemicals in fast food. Honest answers please.

Your not going to get fat just because you ate one piece of friend chicken. Chill out. Your consuming you life with not being fat. Just eat whatever, if you care about what you eat, then just care about, dont be obssesed with it.

Fried food is fattening no matter where it’s from. But one piece is not going to make you fat.

Hell no. I find it hilarious that you’re even asking about one piece like you ingested poison! LOL

It’s like anything you do. Just do it in moderation. I end up in the fast food drive thru on occasion when I need an instant remedy for hunger.

If you regulary eat fried chicken it is fattening no matter if it comes from KFC or not. You can eat lousy at home also. If you are dieting ovbiously you want to avoid fried foods period.

Obviously you won’t get fat from that ONE piece of chicken…but all fried chicken is bad, not just KFC or others you would consider fast food. I know how you feel though…I constantly worry about the same thing.

no….from eating just that you won’t gain weight….you have 2 eat alot 2 gain weight….you’ll probably burn off that piece of chicken so fast anyway…plus i don’t believe its fried in lard….i think its fried in a healthier alternative

Well yeah sure you will if you don’t burn it off, but that’s the case with ANY food. One peice won’t do you too much harm though.

No. You need to eat a lot more than one piece to get fat.

Even if you do, it would be temporary. Honestly, I dont it will affect you. Once or twice, espeicially not even a whole meal, wont kill you. And more bluntly, this not fat thing is so stupid. People are more concerned about no fat rather than healthy.

One piece of chicken is not going to make you fat. Now, if you ate that all week long, you would start to gain weight.

There are no chemicals in fast food that I know of. I’ve worked in fast food for a long time and have never heard of that. I’ve never worked at kfc, but they cook the chicken in vegetable oil. The chicken is seasoned and battered much the same as you do at home. The spices is what makes them different. So if you ate a pc of fried chicken, the fact that it came from there is not really different than if it was fried at home as far as the fat goes.

No, you will not get fat from one piece, or even half a piece, of chicken.

I gave up fast food back in October 2006. I have to eat it sometimes so that I intake enough calories. It makes me kind of sick now, so I try to make sure I eat enough to avoid that illness.

I kind of dont believe in getting fat… either you are fat or your arnt, but if your body is fat prone beware. My body is skinny prone I get too skinny if i dont watch my diet so its the opposite. I noticed that fat people look like they have to be thier size because thier body is already predispositioned to have extra weight. Its almost like shaving a big tree because it simply looks big… you might look disproportioned or unhealthy if you loose too much weight, my best advise is to see a doctor.

Yeah i have heard a lot of rumors about KFC, one of my fav is the rumor that says that they use steroids on the chicken to make it more big and fat, also KFC always has rats in the night, especially the ones in NY. If i was you i would never eat at KFC again. If you really must have a fried chicken make it yourself so that you know what things and spices you put in it, or if you really want chicken fast food try Popeyes.
